Standard to Vertex
Changing Standard Form to Vertex Form

  1. h=-b/2a than you solve for h, (h is the same as x in standard form)
  2. Put the x into the standard form equation
  3. solve for y the same as k
  4. Put the h and the k into the vertex form
  5. than take the a from the standard form to the vertex

Ex. h= (-1/2)(b/a) V=(3/4,2 7/8)
h=-b/2a=3/2(2)=3/4 x=3/4
y=2x2-3x+4
y=2(3/4)^2-3(3/4)+4
y=2(9/16)-9/4+4
2 7/8=y=k
